City of Armadale Logo

The City of Armadale acknowledge the Traditional Owners and the Custodians of the land upon which we stand, work and play.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Peoples of this land and their connection to the lands and the waters, as they are part of them spiritually and culturally.

We acknowledge their ancestors, the Elders past and present, who have led the way for us to follow.

Madan Sara Film Screening

Celebrate Haitian Heritage Month with an exclusive screening of Madan Sara.

This documentary tells the stories of the indefatigable women who work at the margins to make Haiti’s economy run. Known as the Madan Sara, these women face intense hardship and social stigma.

Following the screening, enjoy a behind the scenes look with filmmakers Etant Dupain and Lulaine Childs, beaming to you live from New York and Washington D.C. They will be able to answer all your questions and provide further insight into the lives of these remarkable women.

This screening is for adults.

Please Note: Bookings open 2 April 2025.
