Volunteers are an integral part of delivering emergency service activities. The City and has two Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades each playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and preparedness of the community.
The Brigades protect the community from bushfires through fire prevention and incident response. There are both responder and support roles available, depending on your location and the current need of the brigade.
Being an emergency services volunteer is a rewarding opportunity, if you would like to give something back to your community consider volunteering with one of the Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades. All volunteers are provided with full training to perform your role, necessary protective equipment and insurance to cover injury.
