Willow Springs Orchard. It's a great place to swing by on the weekend, grab some local produce and enjoy the sun with a coffee and sweet treat from the coffee van.
On the weekends I am a regular at the Park Run at Champion Lakes on a Saturday morning and thoroughly enjoy the sense of community I get from sharing my fitness goals amongst other passionate community members. I have also recently started to get into Perth Trail Series where many of the trail runs are within the City of Armadale or very close by. When I'm not hiking, walking or running, I enjoy going for a coffee at one of the many independent cafes we have here in Armadale and enjoying the nature that surrounds us in this part of the world.
I originally moved into the City of Armadale in March of 2011 and since then have lived across a few suburbs and been fortunate enough to buy our first home in the beautiful Mount Nasura.
I have been a member of Rotary Armadale now for almost four years. During that time I've had the opportunity to start a range of community programs that support local people. One of my first projects with the club was working with the City of Armadale to establish Quiet Zones at major events so that people with disability or those with additional needs had a space to rest and reset before returning to the enjoyment of our larger community activities. I have also been fortunate enough over the last two years to be the clubs president and to be able to spearhead a passion project that allowed us to start a free leadership program for young people that taught them fundamental leadership skills through fun and engaging activities. Overall my experience with Rotary has been a great one because it gives me the opportunity to create the community I want to see and work with likeminded people to achieve that.
One of our hidden gems that we enjoy on a weekend is Willow Springs Orchard. It's a great place to swing by on the weekend, grab some local produce and enjoy the sun with a coffee and sweet treat from the coffee van.

We acknowledge Aboriginal people as the First Peoples of this land and their connection to the lands and the waters, as they are part of them spiritually and culturally.
We acknowledge their ancestors, the Elders past and present, who have led the way for us to follow.
