I’ve lived in the City of Armadale for six years now.

How are you involved in the community?

I use the Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre, which is a great way to stay connected with what’s happening locally. I’ve attended community events like the Armadale Highland Gathering, Dogs Day Out and the Native Plants for Residents program. It’s great to see those kinds of events bringing people together.

What is your favourite thing to do in Armadale over the weekend?

One of the things I really enjoy about living here is the easy access to nature. On weekends, I like getting out on the walking trails at Settlers Common or Wungong Regional Park - it’s a great way to switch off and enjoy the outdoors. At the same time, having a direct route west to the coast means a beach trip is always an option too.

Any hidden gems or favourite places you would recommend - whether it’s a scenic spot, a creative space, or a local café in the area.

A place I’d recommend checking out is The Springs Club (Armadale Golf Course). It’s a short but challenging 9-hole course near Forestdale Lake, surrounded by natural bushland. It’s a great spot to play a round, with plenty of wildlife around to make it even more enjoyable.
