My favourite local restaurant is Avocados for its scenic location, casual atmosphere, great food, and friendly service.
I have lived in the area for over 40 years.
I initially joined the Armadale Society of Artists (ASA) in the late 80s when the society was in its early days, however, I left the society to assist in my children’s sporting endeavours.
Upon retirement in 2021 I rejoined the ASA to find it had grown considerably with an amazing group of friendly and welcoming artists and I was introduced to the Armadale Hills Open Studios Arts Trail. With all this inspiration my artistic pursuits have grown immensely. Being actively involved in the ASA, including teaching landscape painting, I am now privileged to be the society’s President.
As a landscape artists I love gathering inspiration by walking through the hills of the Banyowla Regional Park, the Contour Channel Walk and through the historic streets of Kelmscott. One of the best things about living in Armadale is being surrounded by trees and hills and the inspiration for my painting that nature and the landscapes provide.
My favourite local restaurant is Avocados for its scenic location, casual atmosphere, great food, and friendly service.
