A cleaner, healthier community begins with correct waste disposal.
A cleaner, healthier community begins with correct waste disposal. You have two bins:
General rubbish bin (dark green or red lid)*
Recycling bin (yellow lid)
Your general rubbish bin is for small, non-hazardous household waste, food waste or garden waste only. Household Hazardous Waste comprises flammable, toxic, reactive or corrosive materials that do not belong in either of the kerbside bins. These agents are dangerous to human health and have the potential to cause fires in trucks and at our facility. These substances can be found in aerosol cans, batteries, paint, flammable liquids and household chemicals. Hazardous waste can be dropped off for free at the Armadale Landfill and Recycling Facility. Batteries, printer cartridges, aerosols and light globes can also be dropped off at one of the following Recycling Hubs:
Armadale Library
Seville Grove Library/Kelmscott Library
Piara Waters Library
Administration Building, 7 Orchard Avenue
Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre (AFAC)
Your recycling bin is for empty, clean and dry:
Cans
Cardboard
Paper
Plastic
Glass
Did you know that many drink containers have a 10c refund available? The City has installed community "pay it forward" Containers for Change collection baskets to increase recycling participation rates. Feel free to add cans, or take them away to receive a refund
