Requirements for works in a road reserve

Prior to undertaking any work within a road reserve, responsible parties must submit an application form and Traffic Management Plan to the City. Examples of work include:

The Traffic Management Plan must be prepared by personnel with appropriate accreditation in traffic management. The City requires all applicants other than service authorities to pay an approval fee, as described in the application form, prior to approval being granted.

Application process

Consultant or contractor

  1. Complete the application form and a Traffic Management Plan

  2. Submit the documents with the minimum fee payment to the City

Developer

  1. Complete the application form and a Traffic Management Plan

  2. Obtain an approval letter from the City for the subdivision development to be carried out

  3. Submit all documentation and fee payment to the City.

Service provider

  1. Complete the application form and a Traffic Management Plan (approved by the Service Provider)

  2. Submit all documentation to the City (note, there is no fee payment required).
