Green Waste Collection

The City provides two green waste collections per calendar year, in addition to access to the Roleystone Greenwaste Facility and the Armadale Landfill and Recycling Facility (conditions apply).

To ensure collection, please place green waste clear of obstacles such as vehicles, trees, water meters, power domes, fences, letterboxes, and reticulation.

Note: Artificial turf is not a permitted verge treatment within the City's verge treatment guidelines. Consequently, the City and its contractors are not responsible for damage that may occur to artificial turf during green waste verge collections.

Green waste we collect:

A maximum of 4.5 cubic metres of tree branches and shrub prunings

Lawn clippings, leaves and cuttings:

Alternatively, lawn clippings, leaves and smaller prunings are ideal for composting or can be placed in your general waste bin (not recycling bin) for disposal.

Green Waste Collection Dates 2025

Please note that prior to collection, your zone will receive a green waste flyer in the letterbox confirming the collection start date. Green waste can be placed out two days prior to commencement date (i.e. the weekend prior to your start date). To find out your verge collection zone, enter your address at the bottom of the page.
