The City provides an annual bulk waste verge collection. Separate items into three piles: 1. Metal items 2. White Goods 3. Furniture and bulky items
Look up your verge collection zone by starting to enter your house number and street name and wait for a drop-down box to appear and select your address.
Verge collections have begun! 🗑️🌿
We know it’s helpful to have an idea of your bulk verge collection dates, so we’re sharing what’s confirmed so far. While we work closely with our contractors to lock in schedules, we want to make sure we only share dates once they’re confirmed and accurate. As additional dates are locked in they’ll be updated on our website, so it’s worth checking back closer to the time.
📄 Flyers will still be delivered 10-14 days leading up to your collection as usual, but we hope this early heads-up helps you get prepared in advance.

Once your items have been collected, a quick clean up of any broken pieces left behind prevents debris being washed into local waterways or causing harm. Note: Artificial turf is not a permitted verge treatment within the City's verge treatment guidelines. Consequently, the City and its contractors are not responsible for damage that may occur to artificial turf during bulk waste verge collections.
Place waste on the verge on your scheduled weekend. The contractor will only check the verge once and the collection will start from 7am on the Monday, continuing in the area until all waste presented is collected.
If you're sharing a verge with a neighbour, notify the City prior to collection start date.
Place waste on the verge one metre (1m) back from the kerb, taking care not to obstruct footpaths, bus shelters, line of sight or create a safety hazard.
Place items clear of vehicles, trees, water meters, fences, letterboxes, reticulation and sprinklers to allow collection without causing damage.
Make sure there is no more than 4 cubic metres of general bulk waste and no more than 4 cubic metres combined metals and white goods.

Excess waste will not be collected (waste over the size limit or volume limit).
