The City’s is committed to ongoing management & maintenance practices through scheduled programs over its park, sports fields, parks infrastructure, irrigation, trees, general Public Open Spaces maintenance activities.
The City’s Parks Services Department manages over 820 classified parks and amenity areas including sports fields, parklands, natural areas, community facilities, street gardens and public access ways covering an area of 1890 hectares within an area of 560 square kilometres and includes 19 suburbs and localities from coastal plain suburbs to the hills environment.

There are five (5) shared-use facilities within the City for the provision and shared use of public open space and shared community infrastructure on and/or adjacent to school sites
