Dumping trash where it doesn't belong is a big no-no. We provide a range of free services to our residents so there’s no need to illegally dump your mattresses and big stuff like fridges and furniture. We also offer free bulk verge collections for items like white goods, metal, and large furniture as well as green waste, like tree branches and lawn clippings.
Don’t let our streets, parks, vacant land, bushland and reserves become illegal landfill.

E-waste can contain precious metals, such as gold, copper and nickel, which could be recovered and recycled. E-waste can also contain hazardous materials and should be collected and recycled correctly to prevent harm to the environment and human health.
It’s our responsibility to manage our waste better. From 1 July 2024 e-waste will be banned from entering landfill.

We’re fortunate to have such rich flora and fauna diversity. It’s up to all of us to take charge of our environmental impact and preserve our scenic hills and landmarks.
There are simple things we can all do. The City also supports environmental awareness days like Clean Up Australia Day, World Environment Day, Plastic Free July and Keep Australia Beautiful Week, where everyone can pitch in to make a difference.

Landfill is the last place for your waste. We’re keen on reducing waste that ends up in landfill, which is why we’re encouraging you to think twice before tossing stuff out.
